Hollywood Park RacetrackHollywood Park Racetrack Average User Rating: (0 votes, add your vote or comments) Organized by Hollywood’s movie industry elite during the 1930s, Hollywood Park is a stronghold in the West Coast Thoroughbred Racing Circuit and one of the preeminent thoroughbred racetracks in the United States. The racetrack encompasses 140 acres and features a 1 1/8-mile main track, a new one-mile turf course, and a half-mile training track. Live racing is conducted Wednesday through Sunday in the late spring through midsummer, and again in the autumn through early winter. Nighttime racing is offered on most Fridays, with live music and drink specials. Call or see the web site for exact dates and times. Closed: Most Mondays, all Tuesdays, Christmas Day. Metro: Access via MTA bus lines 117 and 212 By car: 405 to Century Boulevard exit. Head East (away from the airport). Take Century to Prairie, turn left. Turn right at the first parking lot entrance.
